Our Infrastructure
It is easily accessible with a prominent board displaying the name of the centre. The centre’s building is well planned with necessary infrastructure. It is well lit and ventilated with an exhaust fan, with adequate space for registration, medical room, counseling room, etc.
Yaipokpa The Rehabilitation and Child Care centre also incorporates 24/7 surveillance of both exterior and interior premises through CCTV camera, the control room is located inside the Managing Director Chamber and is always monitored throughout the day to ensure maximum security and safety.
Out Patient Area
A separate entity for the outpatients. It is less restrictive than the inpatient programs.
Administration/Registration room
A place for administrative usage and to facilitate record keeping of patients – inpatients, outpatients as well as new patients.
Staffroom
A breathing space for staff members where they can rest and gather.
Counseling Room
An area furnished as that of a doctor’s chamber ensuring adequate privacy during interviews of patients.
Medical/Drug Dispensing Room
A room where drugs are administered to those who require it. Drugs and the names of the patients are recorded here in a register book and the whole process is under supervision of the medical executive
Multipurpose Hall
A hall in which it acts as a classroom during input sessions, as a dining hall and as a room for indoor games and light entertainment and other activities.
Inpatient area :
- Detox Room : Detoxification is an important first step in the process of recovery from addiction. Here, a patient is kept for 5 - 7 days. However, this varies for different people and depends on a number of factors. After the detoxification procedure is completed, they're ready to progress to the rehab program, where they receive psychological therapy and counseling.
- Infirmary : A bedded ward of 60 inmates away from the general area ensuring privacy to the patients with provisions for round the clock nursing. The area is well planned and designed to minimize chances of patients escaping. Use of glass partitions/windows are minimized as these items are liable to be broken or damaged and may be injurious to the patients
- Other Rooms: Toilet, Kitchen, Storage room.
Staff and Personnel:
The structure of a rehabilitation centre is an important feature of the quality of care. Drug treatment is a ‘highly specialized area’, with this reason it is vital for the managing director, executive and staff members to have professional experience in the field of addiction. Yaipokpa The Rehabilitation and Child Care Center runs as an organization with adequate, qualitative and appropriate therapy treatments providing an insight to the level of expertise in managing the Centre.
- Managing Director: The overall chief supervisor of the institution, Managing Director oversees and manages all daily operations of the organization and all the final decisions and implementation are made by the Managing Director.
- Medical Executive: An experienced person is in charge of addressing the patient's grievances and coordinating the treatment plan of the patients. He is required for round the clock patient cover and is expected to carry out various functions including dispensing medicine, keeping a record of various patient parameters, ensuring cleanliness and providing basic counseling.
- General Medical Officer: A medical officer/ psychiatrist is responsible for prescribing the treatment and its many parts like - diagnosing and treating substance use disorder, coordinating the services, etc.
- Psychiatrist: A Medical doctor who specializes in the treatment of mental disorders and substance abuse. They are qualified to examine both psychological aspects and physical aspects in treatment.
- Counselor: They are an important category of staff. They provide counseling and other psychological interventions at the outpatient and inpatient level. They are also involved in generating community awareness by holding public meetings, interacting with community leaders.
- Supervisor: He is responsible for the management of day to day operations inside the rehab. And, oversees the performance of the staff and ensures that all procedures and policies are followed.
